Konoha has only just began to recover from the disaster that the Sand and Sound invasion wrought. There were many homes and buildings to be erected and there were still spies being routed out. Recently, the Sannin Jirayia and his student Naruto had found the legendary medic nin Tsunade and persuaded her, through much force, to accept the responsiblity of Godaime Hokage. They have been on alert for any activites in Oto, which they have found out is ruled by Orochimaru, a ninja rivaling Jirayia and Tsunade in strength, and even more so in cunning.
Now, however, Konoha has recieved disturbing news. Spies have confirmed that Kumo has been preparing for war and starting to march their troops towards Konoha. Before Konoha could recieve any more information on the advancements, their spies were kindly returned to them by enemy forces, well, their decapitated heads anyway. Tsunade, only recently officially becoming Hokage knows only one thing; Kumo must have some kind of ally, and one that they believe will lead them to victory.
